The Project Scheduler is responsible for assisting the project team in various aspects of schedule control. Responsibilities include assisting in the creation and maintenance of project schedules, gathering data and input for schedule updates, supporting the integration of subcontractor information into schedules, providing updates on project schedules, and potentially aiding in resource loading or reporting tasks.
This position is located at our headquarters in Meridian, ID.

Responsibilities
- Participate in project planning activities, including attending meetings and discussions to understand project requirements.
- Support the maintenance and updates of project schedules using scheduling software similar to Primavera or Microsoft Project.
- Assist in managing schedule logic, float, and basic resource loading.
- Assist in compiling and organizing schedule documentation, such as baseline schedules, updates, and look-ahead schedules.
- Assist in preparing regular schedule reports and updates for project teams.
- Contribute to periodic schedule reviews and provide input on project progress.
- Assist in analyzing schedule data and identifying areas of concern or potential issues.
- Contribute to the preparation of basic schedule narratives for project updates.
- Participate in or support software training sessions for construction team members.
- Collaborate with team members to gather information and provide support in addressing scheduling challenges.
- Assist in documenting changes to the project scope and contribute to basic time impact analysis.
- Accumulate and access historical data for use in maintaining realistic future planning and forecasting.
- Monitor the project folders to ensure the required schedule documentation is included and updates throughout the project.
- Assist teams in preparing “what-if” schedule scenarios thought the project lifecycle
- Assist in performing health checks on project schedules.
- Provide scheduling analysis for delays and impacts to identify and mitigate project risk.
- Identifies work scope, technical sequencing, and Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
- Review and ensure that appropriate schedule documentation is included in project files.
- Engage in ongoing learning and skill development related to project scheduling practices.
- Execute scheduling tasks assigned by Project Scheduler 2 or higher-level project management personnel.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in a related role where exposure to project scheduling or coordination was gained.
- Familiarity with scheduling software such as Microsoft Project or Primavera, or a willingness to learn.
- Basic understanding of critical path scheduling concepts and the ability to learn and apply more advanced concepts with guidance.
- An understanding of Earned Value Management and SPI (Schedule Performance Index) is not required but preferred.
- Create thriving relationships between company, vendors, and clients.
- Have a strong understanding of general construction and building envelope assemblies.
- Documentation skills.
- Ability to read and interpret project documents.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Excel.
- Have a strong sense of self-motivation and ability to multi-task and effectively manage time.
- Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail are essential.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, fostering effective communication both verbally and in written form.

Travel Requirements
Occasional travel between local offices and job sites. May also be required to work on project sites outside of the Boise metropolitan area or in other states.
