The Human Resources Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting the HR team by ensuring the seamless and efficient operation of administrative functions. This position requires fluency in both English and Spanish, as it involves assisting with onboarding, managing employee data entry, coordinating training initiatives, maintaining personnel records, and effectively communicating policies and benefits information.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate employee onboarding, including initiating contact with new hires, arranging pre-employment drug screenings, preparing onboarding communications, scheduling orientation sessions, verifying employment eligibility (Form I-9 and E-Verify), and entering employee data into HR systems.
  • Process updates in HR systems and records related to promotions, transfers, terminations, and other employment changes.
  • Maintain accurate employment records to ensure compliance with legal requirements and company standards.
  • Assist in the preparation of materials for HR training sessions and related initiatives.
  • Maintain and update HR forms to ensure current versions are available to managers and employees.
  • Schedule meetings and appointments, prepare agendas, and record meeting minutes as needed.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend enhancements to HR policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties and projects assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • 1–3 years of experience in a Human Resources or administrative support role.
  • Fluent in Spanish required.
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities with keen attention to detail.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills with the ability to manage tasks efficiently and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to recognize situations requiring input from others and escalate matters appropriately.
  • Accurate data entry skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or SHRM-Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification preferred but not required.
