ESI’s Content Specialist develops and executes the organization’s internal and external messaging to strengthen brand awareness, engage key audiences, and support business growth. This role leads content strategy, manages communication channels, and produces high-impact written materials across digital, print, and executive platforms, shaping the company’s voice through strategic storytelling and executive communications. This position is based at our headquarters in Meridian, ID.

In partnership with Business Development, Operations, and Executive Leadership, the manager creates compelling proposals, presentations, and messaging that align with organizational priorities and support pursuit efforts. This position plays a critical role in positioning the company, driving consistent and strategic communications, and ensuring all content advances business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive content and communications strategies that align with organizational goals and priorities. 
  • Ensure consistent brand voice, tone, and messaging across internal and external channels.  
  • Create, edit, and oversee content across digital, print, and executive platforms, including websites, blogs, social media, newsletters, and presentations.  
  • Manage communication channels, editorial calendars, and content workflows to maintain consistency and timeliness. 
  • Drive internal communications and employee engagement, including newsletters, announcements, and executive messaging.  
  • Draft and refine executive communications, presentations, talking points, and strategic messaging for internal and external audiences.  
  • Lead proposal and business development content creation, including project descriptions, technical narratives, and client-facing materials. 
  • Maintain brand consistency, proposal content libraries, and templates to ensure high-quality execution and efficiency.  
  • Develop media relations and public-facing communications, including press releases and external messaging.  
  • Track, analyze, and report on content performance metrics to guide strategy and improve effectiveness.
  • Support brand and reputation management, including crisis communication planning and consistency across materials

 

Qualifications

  • Collaborate with marketing and events teams to create aligned, high-impact content for campaigns and organizational events 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in content development, communications, or marketing, preferably within the A/E/C industry (required).
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe InDesign is required; strong capabilities in layout, formatting, and visual storytelling are essential.
  • Proven experience in proposal writing, executive communications, and strategic content development.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to translate complex ideas into clear, compelling messaging.
  • Experience with SEO, digital marketing tools, and analytics platforms.
  • Experience supporting or managing social media content is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and with senior leadership.

Travel Requirements

  • Occasional travel to company headquarters, remote office buildings, events, business needs, or job sites as needed.
