ESI Construction is looking for hard-working Construction Management Interns to join our team.
Gain practical, on-site experience while exploring the many dimensions of the construction industry. Our approach introduces you to the software, techniques, and teamwork that drive successful projects. You’ll bridge classroom knowledge with hands-on application, sharpening your skills in project management, problem-solving, leadership, and effective communication.
Overview
- On-site for one project with opportunities to visit the office and walk other job sites.
- Typically working 20+ hours per week during the school year and 40+ hours per week during the summer (exact schedule TBD based on project and team
needs). - Mentored by a Superintendent, Project/Field Engineer, and/or Project Manager.
- Exposure to shadow Project Engineer/Project Manager and Field Engineer/Superintendent Responsibilities.
- Technical and soft skill trainings.

Possible Responsibilities
- Representing ESI as an ambassador to clientele, design teams, city officials, and subcontractors.
- Assist in all aspects of a construction project, including bidding, construction/operations, project close-out, and warranty, depending on phase of assigned project.
- Manage project documentation control, including organizing, maintaining, and updating plan updates (ASIs, CCDs, etc.), RFIs and responses, submittals, and taking and distributing meeting minutes.
- Assist in the management and coordination of on-site trades.

Requirements
- High school diploma or GED completed and pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, business, or related majors preferred. The ideal candidate will be within 2 years, or less, of graduation/successful completion of their degree.
