As a Business Systems Analyst, you will collaborate closely with stakeholders, design functional specifications, provide second-tier service desk support, and play a key role in identifying and mitigating risks. Leveraging your extensive technical knowledge, you will evaluate, configure, and deploy cutting-edge software applications and systems across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain systems as well as end user documentation.
  • Monitor compliance with system standards and report variations.
  • Perform testing of system upgrades and patches.
  • Evaluate, install, configure, and deploy new applications, systems software, products, and/or enhancements to existing applications throughout the enterprise.
  • Collaborate with analysts, engineers, specialists, software vendors and power users in the testing of new software programs and applications to ensure full adoption of features and process efficiencies.
  • Collaborate with application users to create functional specification documents for fulfilling gaps.
  • Provide second-tier service desk support.
  • Work with other teams, as required, to make recommendations on efficient use of application features and capability to enhance workflow efficiencies.
  • Provide orientation and training to end users for all modified and new systems.
  • Perform minor system customization and report writing.
  • Coordinate product roadmaps across application platforms.
  • Develop deployment, hosting, and support plans.
  • Produce documentation for system administration, configuration, and maintenance.
  • Maintain licensing and user access for both on-premises and cloud solutions.
  • In the area of Application Support, perform troubleshooting and problem resolution for assigned systems with end users when necessary.
  • Resolve system functionality issues, receive, and work escalation from lower support tiers and escalate internally and with vendors as necessary.
  • Propose, implement, and maintain system security models and resolve system specific access and/or security issues.
  • Monitor system for data integrity issues and work with systems engineer or system vendor to resolve.
  • Monitor and report system usage and performance.
  • Interpret a customer’s description of a problem and determine possible solutions. 

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (typically 3-5 years) as a Business Systems Analyst, preferably in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) space.
  • Experience with ITIL methodologies.
  • Proficiency in system analysis, design methodologies, and documentation practices.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements. Experience in project management, including project planning, tracking, and risk assessment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving attitude and a strong focus on delivering quality solutions.
  • Working technical knowledge of cloud application delivery methods such as SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS.
  • Extensive practical knowledge with importing & exporting data for use in report writing software, spreadsheets, graphs, and flow charts as well as Power BI, Crystal, Excel, and SQL.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft 365 Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with construction-specific software applications (e.g., project management tools, ERP systems) is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Vista Viewpoint preferred.

Physical Demands

  • Flexibility in working hours may be required, including evening and weekend work as needed.

  • Constantly operates a computer, including keyboard, mouse, and other components including power tools.
  • Occasionally, there may be a need to ascend/descend ladder to inspect cables in ceilings; position self to inspect cables in floors and data closets.

 

Travel Requirements

  • Occasional travel to remote office buildings or job sites as needed.
